Life update

The resolutions are doing well. I manage exercise nearly every day, although I have to acknowledge that at 19 weeks pregnant, sometimes a day running around doing chores has to count as exercise.

I think that excepting little bump, I may actually have lost weight. I've put on about 8 pounds since starting pregnancy, which is well on target, and my poor face and thighs are looking a little bit depleted. I'll have to keep an eye on that - I'm not worried right now, but I should be putting on around a pound a week. I do eat really healthy food though, when I can actually face eating.

Work has become such a low priority, I'm not too fussed about it. But I have been told that I'll be moving to a new job when I come back from maternity leave (*w00t*), and I've sorted out some training so I can actually come back more fulfilled and better qualified than when I left.

I have to see my business mentor next week, so I'll probably post work goals then.

I do try :( Bear in mind that I'm pretty curvy already, so unborn has some reserves to munch in to. I'm keeping an eye on it though, don't worry :)

How will you be caring for the kid once it's born? I'm asking because I'm nosy, so please don't mind. I'm still trying to figure out how people take care of little living things that aren't cats.

Well, we're kind of working on the theory that it's a more complex cat. At the moment, we're reading a few baby books and trying to work out what we want to achieve as an overall philosophy. THen we'll probably buy something for the practical details. And on a daya to dat basis, we'll adjust our working hours to share the care. I'm lucky I have a boyfriend willing to do that!

I suppose I was picturing you doing it alone, so that makes more sense. Is it bad that I'm used to single mothers who do a lot of improvising, or do I just know a lot of resourceful people?

It was only knowing so many brilliant single mothers that's given me the confidence to think I can do this!
