Lost my Virgin Media smart card. Well, the offspring lost it. Turns out they're worth 50 quid. So we're not having TV any more, at least not from Virgin as I think that's a rip-off.

I'm also scouting for a new phone and broadband service, as I'm not tied to the bundle any more. Any recs?

Don't know if it's available outside of the states, but as far as phone service goes, we Love love love our Vonage (http://www.vonage.com). Plus if you sign up with my info we both get 2 months free :D

I like Vonage (have a local Canadian number for my parents), but am wanting to try Skype. I envy you being able to get away from TV so easily. We have a 42" plasma screen, DVR, HD cable -- and a huge battle if I mention cutting back.

Same here for BE, they've been really reliable in the year and a half we've been with them.

we use tiscali talk. It's good for us; we hardly talk on the phone at all so it's v. cheap and the broadband service hasn't let us down to date.
