Oct. 11th, 2003 05:23 pmBusy couple of days, in a lazy way. I've been watching a lot of Pink Panther cartoons. Very cool.
Watched Waking Life last night. Still not sure what to make of it - some parts were cool, some parts were a bit cringeworthy, some parts were amusing bits of synchronicity with other things in life.
Finally got around to opening a joint savings account with my brother, then after that great achievement, we then felt entitled to sit around playing GTA and watching Flash Gordon all afternoon. When I drove back, the sun was setting quite spectacularly. Silver clouds with a bright reddish pink slash through them. And a weird ribbon of mist crawling along the hedges of a field.

Date: 2003-10-12 12:07 am (UTC)Hah my plan worked! my top 15 movie thing from a while back was just a ploy to get ppl to watch some out of the ordinary movies i like... things like waking life, baraka, chopper, being john malkovich i like, but aren't top 10 material. but they deserve to be seen.
as for waking life, i liked the whole animation thing, and it had some cool moments. plus any movie that talks about lucid dreams is good in my books. :)
speaking of which i have to go enter #26 in my journal, logging them is turning into a chore, now that i'm getting them quite often. :P altho if i don't log them i'll likely get them less often heh.

Date: 2003-10-13 02:23 am (UTC)lol - I'd forgotten you'd mentioned Waking Life, although I obviously remembered you when I was watching it. Some of your suggestions must have hit the subconcious :P The animation _was_ good. I think the philosophy mostly reminded me of eavesdropping a stoned conversation - mostly good, but occasionally a bit tedious. Although, to be fair, I was pretty tired.
logging them is turning into a chore
Aww - life's hard :P Like you said - they'll probably stop if you don#'t write them down.

Date: 2003-10-13 08:47 pm (UTC)yah, some of the philosophy dragged on in parts. a friend of mine who's not very philosophically inclined found the movie really, really boring.
Aww - life's hard :P
