Grr - headachey :( Less than two hours to go until hometime though :D

Had a super-productive day yesterday - did my food-shopping, mowed the lawn, treated myself to 2x new CDs and did some revision. Even made some soup for tea. Finding today a bit of a drag, except this cheered me up:

The luser stories were too funny. Particularly the one about stapling a label to a floppy. :-) Oh, and don't take your laptop into the bath. I hear lavender bath salts aren't good for it. :-)

Yeah - that cracked me up too :) Coffee is also bad for laptops... that's an embarrassing incident that I'll just leave as saying that I'm glad it was still under warranty!

I had to submit my own story. I was trying to get my scanner to work properly by re-installing it from scratch but the un-installer wasn't deleting any of the driver files so I manually deleted them. Turns out one of them was required for Windows to even boot (couldn't even get into safemode). Ended up having to re-format the hard drive. Course that's why my system has 2 hard drives (and if it didn't it would still have 2 partitions).

Yuck. Windows pees me off - I never know how to fix stuff. I emptied coffee over my laptop once, which sucked mightily, plus my cat knackered my hard-drive (long story, but a genuine excuse!). That's about as bad as it's got.

My favorite overall experience has to be when I spilled ice tea all over my keyboard. I managed to dry it out, however the circuits had blown on four or five letters. For three months I typed those letters by ASCII code before someone finally broke down and bought me a new keyboard (poor, unemployed student at the time).

You beat up a little geek girl from the junior high computer lab and took her keyboard then, didn't you? ;)

I did no such thing! I flirted and hit on her until she gave it to me!

And it was HS, not JH... Didn't even get a computer of my own until high school and haven't been into a JH since I left the one I went to.

Sheesh, Picking on an old man... wait, that doesn't work, I'm not old... I got it... Shame on you for picking on a (nearly) decrepit young man!

Interesting courtship rituals you have over there.
