Managed to overcome some major avoidance to phone my mom's social worker and do a few other "mom welfare" related human interactions. I'm starting to think that maybe I'm more of an INFJ than an INFP - not doing anything when I'm pissed off at the world is just frustrating, depressing and self-defeating.
Did a little window-shopping at PC world yesterday, then had dinner with a friend. Good time was had by all, and my eye was caught by a dinky little photo-printer.

Date: 2003-10-20 04:00 am (UTC)This has nothing to do with anything, but I can't stand Marilyn Manson's original music. He's covers are awesome (sweet dreams, tainted love) but not a fan of his original songs. Most people disagree with me, except of course my roommate and my ex.

Date: 2003-10-20 02:53 pm (UTC)heh - definitely. I passed on the printer - I could *just* afford it, but I'd be left poor for the next week or two. Maybe next month... *sigh*

I partly agree with you. I like his covers a lot, but can't stand one of his albums (forget the name). Mechanical Animal is OK, but then I usually cut straight to the chase with some David Bowie ;) Out of interest, what stuff do you like?

Date: 2003-10-20 03:00 pm (UTC)I'm very ecclectic. I listen to mostly things like Linkin Park and Nickleback. I'm a big Will Smith, Bon Jovi, and REM fan. I love Colin Raye. Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer. Alabama ranks up there as well. I also listen to crazy stuff like Rusted Root, Traci Bonham, a few techno-club-mixes.
So to recap, I listen to Metal (Slayer rocks), Alternative, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Country, Rap, R&B, Classical, Techno, Indie... I'll give anything a shot.

Date: 2003-10-22 02:18 pm (UTC)Very cool - his violin concerto is probably one of my favourite pieces of music. Eclectic is good - I get that myself - but be specific... what are ten tunes you couldn't live without?

4) Sytem of a Down - Arials
5) Colin Raye - Little Rock
6) Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself
7) Barenacked Ladies - Who Needs Sleep
8) Bon Jovi - Always
9) Rusted Root - Send Me on My Way
10) can't decide... Mr. Big - To be with You or Rammstein - Klavier...

Umm - OK. About half of these would vary, about half are pretty constant:

Date: 2003-10-28 03:30 am (UTC)System of a Down, although I don't think I know that song
Arials is a very common song at least here. Was the third single released from the Toxicity album (after Chop Suey and Toxicity). Very cool song.
Mine changes a lot too, Sometimes Red Hot Chili Peppers (Under the Bridge and Aeroplane), Bush (Everything's Zen (don't know if that's the name of the song, but its what I remember it as)), Steve Miller (The Joker), or Paul Simon (50 ways to leave your lover) jusmp into it.
A few others as well.
