Woohoo - constructive day! Got my mom an appointment with a housing officer on Monday. My OU exam is over, done and finished, so goodbye to essays for 4 months. I think I did OK too :) I'm off for thai food to celebrate...

If you like other Asian food, it's probably worth trying Thai. It's quite Vegan/Veggie friendly, with the heat of Indian and the cooking style of Chinese.

I know! Some foods I need cooked because of allergies, or just tasted better cooked or not on its own.
I love carrots, carrot cake....but had cold carrot soup and .... :(

So that Satay sauce caused quite a confusion...I had looked for it in Whole Foods and they were confused, looked in books in the store....

I think veg goths said it is the same as Thai peanut sauce?

Could well be the same as Thai peanut sauce. Sounds right, anyway. I think something about cooking peanuts mellows the flavour or something - probably the same with carrots!

Right...and I feel sickly today so I am craving mellow foods...like miso soup and other vegan macro-biotic cuisine. Soothing and warm....nutritious....
(in my mind I have already left the office...)

resting a bit w/ the food I have here...nothing warm and soothing...but will happily eat it so I can have energy to commute home. hehe...I forgot the miso soup ! I now can make the vegan stews and soups now that the run of the opera is over. My nights are back to catch up on cooking....

ohh! do you mean the thin almost transparent noodles...?

Mmm - I love those in spring rolls! But I didn't use the transparent ones - I cooked some fairly thick noodles, then made a sauce with Tofu and coccnut milk.

hehe....you know...I love recipe books, like "How It All Vegan", but never have all the ingredients so I just use it as a guideline. I really want to know how certain herbs taste together or how a certain cuisine should taste. I really hate it when all my dishes start to taste the same.

cool----it is fun to get to know people and exchange recipes :)

Nope - where is it? I don't tend to use recipe books - I just make it up. But I'm not very good, so it's all a bit "hit and miss".
