Now must go refuel.*

Heheh - yeah, it suits you. Apart from the Welshness of it, anyway :)

hmmm, I've proven that I have quite a family history over there (English and Irish at least). Don't know Welsh though. Probably a drop of Scottish.. Of course my roommate is mostly Scottish and Italian (looks Italian, name's Scottish).

Heh, oh well.

How do you pronounce it for starters?

Tell ya the truth, not sure...

the dd I know is basically a th sound. I've never been able to successfully do the ll sound (I've tried on numerous occassions). Overall, no clue.

yeah the ll is some sort of weird cross between l and ch - I can say it, but I can't write it... it's like no sound in English, that's for sure.

I think its:

Kai-o-ith Clos-gur-nog

But could be very wrong. Welsh is a basically a made up language these days; it was so far gone and so archaic that it's essentially made up from scratch with best guesses and sticking -io on the end of anything post C18th-C19th.

I think the 'o' might be a long one (ow, phonetically?) too..

Ooo - thanks... I take it you're the resident Welsh expert then, having been to Aberystwyth and all ;)

That and reading crap fantasy stuff which rips off the psuedo-celtic bollocks so beloved of the plebs.

/shrug

Never actually bothered learning welsh; seemed such a pointless exercise! The only time it was used (and bear in mind this is the heartland of welsh-speaking) was to bitch about students and young people, and so on and so forth!
