Jan. 2nd, 2004 11:43 pmWent to see American Splendor at the Watershed - check it out on IMDB first, but I'd recommend it. Have also gone a small way towards mending my rotting bathroom floor. My brother's GF gave me her old mobile phone. I'm not sure what to do with it really - it's sitting on my kitchen cabinet in a vaguely useless sort of way - but it does mean that people can text me via LJ when (heh - if) I set it up and don't just give it to the next person who wants a phone.
Ummm. OK. Post ended.

Date: 2004-01-02 07:43 pm (UTC)I agree on the phone thing. I had ex's phone for a few months when she was in OH (she didn't get a signal where she was anyway, so figured might as well use her minutes in some manner). I carried it around and all that and only used it to talk to her. Hated carrying it. Was just a pain mostly.
Then again I used to be a telemarketer so I hate phones in general...

Date: 2004-01-03 03:44 pm (UTC)Luckily, it was quite that bad, so I managed to degunk it fairly well myself. Do you actually do that sort of carpentry, or were you joking?
And what the hell is that new icon ??
Meh - I scanned it from a book of motifs that I bought up near Hadrian's wall. There are renaissance, anglo-saxon doodles and stuff, all public domain. That one was from the "byzantine" section, but having read the blurb, I noticed it was a symbol for Christian evangelism, so I might use that a bit less from now on :p
