I found this somewhere. I know not where - I was meandering around half asleep.

It led to this:

The home-site is this:
http://www.incipientposthuman.com/

However I can't get it to work - for all their interesting wibbling about technology, they don't seem to have got to grips with browser-friendly HTML ;)

(NOTE TO SELF: add more to this when I'm less groggy)

I've seen much better transhumanist/extropian sites, that one you found's a big mess...

I find transhumanism very interesting, and desireable. Thought I had it on my LJ interests but just checked and I forgot it!

Ah - thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it to read at my leisure. That other site was a mess, but having come to it via tattoos/body mods I was fascinated by the formal presentation of some neat thoughts I'd had over the years. I never really thought many other people contemplated that, let alone thought out proper terms and declarations :) It's kind of a more grown-up extension of all the crusty/cyber/traveller/dance festival philosophy I used to be into about ten years ago. After that, I drifted away into the fun of technology, and never quite knew how to meld the two (sorry, but I just can't handle "technopagans" :).

Hmmm - did you ever see the snowman cartoon? Over here it's shown everyone Christmas, and one of my darkest secrets is that despite it's extreme cheesiness, it always makes me cry :) Especially the song - I call it the snowman song *, and occasionally I do a really bad impression of the boy soprano who sung it, accompanied by silly dancing. It's a happy thing, honestly ;)

* Looked it up - it's "Walking in the Air", sung by Aled Jones

Heh Nightwish has a version of that song, a goth metal band with a female singer. Pretty good.
