Need five minutes to myself - my boss is agitating about details for a meeting tomorrow. Not only do I prefer "just in time" organisation for stuff like that (my brain goes much clearer under stress) but I also have a lot of work to do before I go on leave at the end of tomorrow. Bleh. The final straw just came when I bit into the cherry tomato part of my very late lunch and spattered my PC with pips :(

The chosen answer to my earlier conundrum is option 3 . I came to the conclusion that I didn't really care about the tutor that much - next year I'll just take the one I'm given - but I was getting stressed about the fact that I hadn't prepared at all. I've only read about half of the set texts (they recommend you read them all before the start). This way I get a whole extra year to prepare, plus more free time to do my Old English course and get started on the freelance research. I was hyperventilating about fitting all that in with a 60 point OU course, so I've switched to a 30 point one on Homer. Which ties in nicely with my travel plans for Greece in the Autumn :) So thanks for the advice - you were right, but I need some more free time anyway, so option 3 is the better choice right now.

Sucks when th eboss starts complaining about stuff. Mine does that 3 or 4 times a day *bleh*. Also sucks about getting tomato guts all over the comp...

Glad you made a decision, and hopefully the extra time you're taking will help you out. Besides, Homer is fun.

Yeah - I'm becoming more and more relieved that I made that choice. I got a bit over-burdened recently.

Besides, Homer is fun.

Exactly - I'm really looking forward to it *beams*

I think that's a good choice. Sometimes when something like that comes up (different tutor) it opens up a better option (switching courses) that you might not have considered at all if things had just 'gone along as expected' :)

Good luck with the Homer. Hope you have a less eventful time getting home from Greece than Odysseus had getting back from his little excursion ;)

Thank you - reassurance is always nice, even though I'm becoming more relieved by the minute :) I don't know about you, but I sometimes find it really hard to pinpoint the exact thing that's bothering me - takes a bit of analysis sometimes.

Yeah, I agree.

I tried typing out several examples/expansions on this theme, but they all turned to mush, so I'll just reiterate that I agree ;)
