Stuck - please help!
Oct. 29th, 2008 03:48 pmI have several laptops in the house, all running Linux. I also have a Linux based Desktop that I used to run as a fileserver, but haven't booted up for about 5 years. Just booted it up, and it seems to be running just dandy - I can see several folders as places on my Places/Network/Windows Network.
Now, how do I *do* stuff with that fileserver? I need to be able to make another folder and share it over the network, ideally without dragging my monitor out from the loft and hooking it up. I'm sure I used to do remote logins, but as I *haven't* done them for 5 years, my brain is too fluffy even to know what to google.
Anyone help, please? Thanks :) I *can* do this stuff, just rustily at the moment, so feel free to point me to a page :)
