Jul. 28th, 2003 09:00 pmJust got back from my trip to London - very very tired. Zzzzzzzzz.
I mainly spent Sunday pottering around the house and garden, mowing the lawn and stuff like that, before trundling off to catch the 7 o'clock train from Parkway. Needless to say, the train was delayed and the journey was slow, but I passed the time flicking through a book on Wicca that I'd bought for a friend. Finally got to the hotel at about 9:30 and had a drink with someone from work. I'm trying to get to know them better, and it's working quite well so far. The hotel was in Bloomsbury and ultra-spiffy, with loads of marble and fancy vases*, so I'm glad work was paying ;P
Talk went well in the sense that I got it done. Met yet more insane university administrators and answered scads of questions. All rather draining, including the journey back with the Mad Monobrow, but at least that was company :) Very very glad to be home with my cat, my garden and my laptop :)
* Late edit - although, strangely, the most impressive thing was a hospitality tray with a little built in kettle :)
