Monty-motherfuckin'-Don

I went to Gardeners' World live and saw Monty Don :)) That rocks. It also means I now have live photos on my phone of both Ministry and Monty Don, which must put me in a very small demographic.

In other news, I'm working too hard, and being a mum to Ben by copying my Dad. Who provided slightly more parenting input than drinking vodka and trying to push me off staircases. Odd really - I was thinking about it this morning, and I don't really think I have any idea of how to be a mum from my own mother - it's all copying my aunts and grandmother, or spying on ninneviane when she's not looking.

As the person most most likely to know what's happening with Monty Don, why has he left GW? I watched it last week and heard a peculiar tribute which made it sound like he was dying.

He had a stroke. Not a bad one, but he was knackered anyway so he quit. He seemed ok when I saw him live.
