I got a paid account! Felt like I should give something back and all that. Plus I fancied more user pics :) I think I probably have more codes that I'm happy to give away to people on my friends list for whatever purpose.

Predicted trends for 2004 (i.e. resolutions :รพ):

  • Eat less crisps, take more walks
  • Find ways to be more productive
  • Grow more food
  • Become happier and more peaceful
  • Develop interesting ways of earning money
  • Beautify my home and garden
  • Destress my relationships

I should also add a litle summary, basically the more refined the food the quicker it gets turned into energy and glucose (which is what the resulting energy becomes in your blood).

So if you eat highly refined sugar your get a sudden jolt of energy, but to feel "normal" you need a fairly constant blood sugar level. Things like honey are better than sugar as it's a complex sugar.

The more natural the food the better really.

That makes sense - most junk food is padded out with simple sugars, so they pretty much dissolve straight into the bloodstream. I guess you must burn through them quickly too... I hate that feeling - I always get the cold sweats when my blood sugar is low :(

So I guess we're pretty much designed to eat natural food - more modern stuff isn't going to give us such a digestive workout. Did you ever read "milroy the magician" ... it's kind of neat :)
