I got a paid account! Felt like I should give something back and all that. Plus I fancied more user pics :) I think I probably have more codes that I'm happy to give away to people on my friends list for whatever purpose.

Predicted trends for 2004 (i.e. resolutions :รพ):

  • Eat less crisps, take more walks
  • Find ways to be more productive
  • Grow more food
  • Become happier and more peaceful
  • Develop interesting ways of earning money
  • Beautify my home and garden
  • Destress my relationships

Well I don't do dairy, so when I ordered fries and got cheese on it I was a bit peeved.

I can imagine!

They really shouldn't have put it on it. If you're going to default something like that you should at least have the decency to put it on the side so those who don't want don't have to worry about it!

Of course, around here cheese is an extra charge so no worries about getting cheese when you don't want one. There a couple places around here where you can go order a cheeseburger and they'll ask you if you want cheese on it. If you say no, you get a cheeseburger minus the cheese... Crazy...

So that's a cheeseburger, but hold the cheese? I sympathise with [profile] papalazarous too - there's nothing worse than a sneaky bit of crap in your food that you don't want. Random bits of bacon and ham are my personal bugbear...

Exactly! If I wanted that I'd order a hamburger, not a cheeseburger! Although I do know people who order cheeseburgers hold the cheese. Don't know why since it usually costs 35 cents more or so. Crazy people...

I don't mind the bacon, as long as its a small amount. I get sick if I eat more than an ounce or two of anything that comes from a pig. Can't stand the taste of most of it anyway, particularly ham *bleh*

I guess they think it makes them sound important... who knows? I don't eat meat at all, so any traces of ham/bacon/toenail tend to piss me off.

Yeah - don't blame you. although for what it's worth, I'm not sure that a lot of US cheese is technically "dairy" ;) Personally, I hate it when people nip a bit of bacon into lentil soup. Or ham in quiche (I know that one wouldn't bother you. Can't stand quiche meself these days). I know it's on the ingredients, but dammit - you think you'd be safe with a can of lentil soup?!?
